Hi mothers out there! Care to share your experiences??
Though this is my 3rd pregnancy and im due in 2 months time.giving birth is really a nightmare! and im havin phobia bout it ?any mothers out there care to share??

wow everyone is making this birth thing sound sooooo horrible....sure it is not fun at all, it hurts and just outright sucks to be there unable to move from the pain, knowing that u are gonna push a bowling ball sized thing out of your neither regions, but come on ladies, give the girl some nice labor stories!!!!!!!!i was due with my son on april 17 07, on the morning of april 15 i started feeling something "funny" i had been to the dr the week before and i was 3cm dialated, and 100% effaced, but no contractions so they let it go. ALL day on the 15th i kept feeling wierd things, so i go to the bathroom & oops there is my mucas plug!!! at around 4 pm, i started getting light frequent contractions. about 10-20 min apart. i called the dr they told me to hang out at home till they were 1-3 min apart and lasted at least 30 sec. so i waithed it out and by 7pm ther were coming more frequently so i took a hot shower, and by the time i got out & dressed i was ready to go to the hospital. when i was admitted i was 5cm & they could feel his head!!! that was at 10pm. i got hooked up to drugs when i was 8cm, (i would have been miserable if i went natural!! at that point they HURT SOOO BAD!!! and i was stuck at 8 cm with heavy contractions for like 4 hours, i did not feel them, but i could see them on the monitor) i actually slept the whole night until about 5, thats when they told me that i was ready to start pushing!! he was born at 6:54am on april 16th...one day before his due date!!! & i did not even rip AT ALL!!! not even a little tear! see it can be done! use alot of that lube stuff, and have your dr kind of massage your skin as it is streaching and u should be ok!!good luck to you!!! im sure you will have a beautiful labor & birth!!

I had an unexpected c-section and was horrified... so scared. Sure enough I went in at 4 and was in my room recovering at 4:45. The recovery wasn't that bad either... I wouldn't do it again anytime soon, but not as bad as I thought it would be! Lol. Without the help of my husband and in-laws I definitely wouldn't have been able to have such smoothe sailing. Good luck... hope all goes well! It will go by quickly!

i was induced due to preclampsia i was very scared more scared of needles they had the hardest time sticking the ivs in mean 3 times on each are (third time a charm) but that was the worst contractions also came very strong and hurt i couldnt wait for the epudurial it helped me sleep but after all that work i had my baby boy and it was all worth it maybe one more baby i dunno though just no more needles(yeah right)lol

to be honest... I didn't think it was all bad... the pain sucked, yeah but it goes by so fast!! I would rather go into labor 10 more times than be pregnant again any time soon!

I think that we have a culture where we are encouraged to be afraid of birth. That doesn't mean that birth is "easy" or "painless ...." It's hard work - the hardest you'll ever do.On the other hand, it's work that your body is designed to do. You CAN do this.I'd recommend Ina May's Guide to Childbirth as a very uplifting read, to calm your fears.

Remember the beauty they posses and the joy they have brought to you. Focus on having that yet again in your life. Focus on the feeling you got when you heard that first little mewling and cry from the little one. Remember the joy of bringing the little critter home. Do you remember how much fun it was showing the little one off?Take some time out and wrap yourself up in the good parts of what you are about to go through and along the way remember who you are and what you are already capable of doing. I went in with every intention of having natural child birth. I was doing fine, with my sister coaching me... for a total of 10 hours-- she spoke to me calmly and reminded me what was happening to my body-- told me to 'cut through' the pain rather than try to get away from it. That was working so well, then my contractions slowed down to 10, then 20, then 30 minutes apart- so when the nurse checked, she said I was 5-6 cm dialated, but she thought she was feeling the baby's rear, not the head. Sure enough- SURPRISE! The baby was Frank breech and her butt was getting stuck in my cervix. SO I had an emergency C-section. I was so scared, but in the end, I got a healthy baby girl and the healing was not as bad as I thought it would be... with the help of my husband of coarse. So much for my drug-free delivery but WHO CARES!!! If you can, hire a doula to help you with the labor. It really helps to have a trained coach there to talk you through the pain. My sis isn't a doula but she should be :)~

Frankly, if you are scared of labor, perhaps you need to change doctors or hospitals!I didn't like the experience I had with a regular OB so I switched to the midwives and a more baby friendly hospital, and had a MUCH EASIER labor and recovery. If you’re scared, I’d look at the quality of care you’re receiving. You might even look into a doula. They’re a professional that helps you have a better labor—and labor in the way you want. I didn’t use one, but I had a lot of friends who used them. They loved their experiences with doulas and had much better labors, not as scary, not as painful. Source(s):

i was a first time mommy so i had no idea what to expect. i knew it was painful but i didnt KNOW just how painful it was. i had made plans with my doctor for a drug free delivery. and i was crazy lol. my labor was fairly short, only 8 hours and when it was time to push it only took 8 minutes. but i had also said that i would only go 8 hours with no pain relief so i was at the 7 hour mark and it wasnt much progress so i opted for an epidural and cried through the whole thing thinking i was such a failure. it relaxed the contractions to where i could nap but only for an hour then it was time to push. funny thing was i waited so long to get one that it really didnt work and i still felt everything! lol luckily it was only 8 minutes but it felt like an hour! but after i saw her the pain magically dissapeared and i was in love and didnt care about all the pain! if i ever have another child i'm thinking of doing the exact same thing. it seems to me that me going without the drugs helped it go by faster. my poor sister had intravenous drugs and then an epidural and then another bag of meds in her epidural and her labor was 20 hours long! best of luck and congrats on your 3 angels!

yesterdae was a pretty tiring dae for me .. after sending e kids to sch i thot of returning hme n have a nap who noes mi monster in law (hahaha..okieokie kidding mother in law) called me up and ask me to go bugis wif her and oso 2 bring Rysher to c a chinese physician .(okay i realli give up! i did mention to em b4 but they did nt believe till now and blame on her who keep giving sweets n 'cooling' stuff to dat lil' fella)

while waiting for transfering of train at City Hall to bugis a pregnant lady gave dat gluttony guy 3 packs of tidbits .. we chatted for a while . she is oso due in oct , but her tummy was huge , she had diabetes and had to depend on injections . her legs were swollen poor lady .. if i were in her situation i wont even consider of havin another child its sooooo tiring ! (anyway though dis is mi 3rd baby fourth pregnancy im still having phobia bout giving birth, imagine u gotta go thru the painful process and the wound hurts after that and u gotta breastfeed the baby it oso hurts as well and so on...guys u really shld be proud of yr wives who braved thru the dangers of bringing yr descendants to the world im sure u guys couldnt have done that even if u really have the ability to do so! really salute to those mummies to be out there who makes sacrifices for their babies..)maybe her 1st child is a ger hence she wanted to gave another try of havin a boy .. but dis x it was a gal again ..gal or boy it doesnt realli matters to me . blame it on the men den !its their sperms dat determine the sex of the babies !!
anyway talking bout manners in the train station , i really need to rant!!
im nt saying all but there are really some inconsiderate SINGAPOREANS who purposely bump into we pregnant ladies knowingly or obviously they can c that we r pregnant just because they r in a rush for time !Hey ! Watch where you're moving ! Singaporeans ! Where have all your manners gone to ??You guys just knock against us as if its nobody business! are u guys really blind or are u guys rushing to be reincarnated during the lunar 7th month??Do be considerate to the mummies to be ! Im sure if your closed ones are being treated like dis u be behaving the same way as me !
So spare some thoughts for those mummies to be , it doesnt take up much time to be considerate to them! Search your conscience inconsiderate commuters!

yesterday i was realli down on mi luck !!!! i lost mi motorola v3x hp while fetchin e kids .. *darn it*
i was e careless type . i was carryin a few bags of things on hand , the contacts , n mi kids adorable pic ...pss nt to 4get mi hubby naked buttock photo which mi son took while his daddy is bathin .. omg!!! i dunno was dis a blessing in disguise ? mi phone is already quite old le and mi bluetooth function is nt workin .. sigh !
anyway i got miself a new line plus a new phone .. was onli 138 for promotion ! realli feel e pinch for dear ! all e hard earn $$ goes down e drain le ! :(

it seems to me dat i've been buyin stuffz online recently ..and wasted quite a lot of $$ ! *heart pain*

dis few days ive been goin to quite a no of website lookin at their accessories .. i realised dat most of the charms used r quite similar.. **lighbulb** hmm.. maybe one of these days i'll go n get miself the charms and make mi very own accessories instead of spending $ buyin em online .. kekeke...

but seriously i still will get the accessories online if i happen to find one dat i like ... those accessories dat they r sellin are realli one of a kind..okie okie enough bout dat .

dis afternoon while i was browsing the net , i stumble across Sinkuan's blog.. she design and paint e designs onto the canva shoes .. which is realli nice and kawaii though .. if u have designs in your mind do tell her wat u have in yr mind and she design it ut 4 ya . im considering of getting a pair from her as well ..

i realli gotta salute to all these pple for having such innovative ideas to do business haha .. keep it up guys!

every family has its own problems... sigh ..i juz lend mi ear to mi close fren thru smses ..luckily everything is fine now .. family members .. aren't they the ones who r the most supportive members , give u advice , a shelter for u ? but it seems to me dis isn't the case anymore .. some siblings can even sue each other due 2 money problems..
wat shall the future holds for me ? will i have a happy family , family who helps one another ? quarreling is a very tiring thing and it is oso hurtful as well ... u say wat u dun realli mean in yr heart and it strains yr relationship with yr family members as well.. dis r some minor problems we might face everyday , but there r some families out dere who have more severe problems ..
so cherish n love ur family sometimes words need nt spell out , a hug or kiss does the job 4 ya !

today is the first day of the 7th month.Or we called it The Chinese Hungry Ghost Festival.there r dos n don'ts during dis period of time..and it lasts for a month .i shant go further into it.. i already bought the stuffz dat r needed for praying ..i used to be weary of dis festival ..but i suppose i changed mi mindset..it is a tradition dat was passed down frm thousands of years ago in china .and nowadays it's realli a sight and experience to c the chinese praying n burning hell notes etc..during dis special month besides seeing pple praying at the void deck some pple will oso go down to the chinese cemetry in the middle of the night to pray..if dere is a chance i would like to experience dat. the chinese will oso hold getai so called the mini concert ..though songs mainly sang r either in hokkien dialect or chinese to entertain the wandering souls, but i tink so far its we the humans who gt entertained the most ke ke ke . it has long become part of our singapore chinese culture and i hope this in fact every chinese traditions will be preserved from generation to generation...

feelin too lazy to even update mi new post.. actually quite tired .. the rest of the family members are fast asleep i suppose they r bushed as well.. today brought the kids to many places . early morn we set off to Ya Kun to hve breakfast , borrowed some bks frm library.. den brought em to agro tech farm to c how they grow the greens , visited fish farms(those fishes were enormous) , goat farm n frog farm(yyeeww.. slimy frogs! u can buy em back fresh over dere ). the kids fed the goats this is their first x visit , everything were new n exciting and so do i .. one thing i gotta emphasize : the goat farm was smelling *heavenly* ha ha ha ..
we had so much fun @ the goat farm ..
one last thing to add : they oso sell goat's milk over dere ! they were produced fresh everyday.. and the nutrition found in goat's milk is higher den cow's milk .. and it is esp good for pple who had asthma ...etc n good 4 babies who r allergic to cow's milk.i heard mi parent in law said though it got high nutrition but they had a smell ..at first i was reluctant to drink but den since i bought 5 bottles of goat's milk after mi kids' pestering , i decided to give it a shot . (applause for mi courageous act)
hmm.. actualli it taste like magnolia's fresh milk , no weird smell , nothing just like normal milk .. hence we decided to buy more ..since its good 4 the whole family ..
in a nutshell , the kids were havin so much fun esp at the goat farm n frog farm where they saw plenty of frogs and even feed and make fun of the goats.. the kids even went gaga wen a over friendly dog was trying to be friendly with em by sniffing em all over at the frog farm, it was hilarious..
(p/s: seeing em enjoyin em selves really makes me feel happy despite the scoorching hot weather.i was totally taken over by mi kids innocence after i saw em getting along so well with the animals . i hope to bring em back again ..)

it's a brand new day le .. 10 aug 2007.. National day is already over ..
i really enjoyed miself on this day ..went to have dim sum with mi small family .. spending time with em...
everyone was happy so do i .. :) i suppose human beings r such small creatures, aren't they? treasure every moment, do wat U wish 2 do... broaden yr view, broaden yr mind, dun worry too much bout things dat r bothering u, do treasure yr loved ones, live safely and peacefully, always b happy 2 welcome the coming of the New day.. enjoy the sunshine .. always look at the brighter side of things.....

the list of primary schools which will be conducting balloting r finally out.. woodlands pri is nt under the list which means celeste will be studyin in the school that we had enrolled for her.. i am happy as it will really saves me the hassle of goin back to the sch to c the results of balloting on dis comin monday.
finally all dis registration for pri one thing is over , i can heave a sign of relieve..next year gal gal will be goin to primary one le .. im happy for her and at the same time worried and scared..will she be able to catch up the lessons ? wat will her results be ? as u noe nowadays most parents r so kiasu , dun mention bout comparing le can she manage the work on her own .. with eng , maths , mother tongue and science as the 4 main subjects i really worry whether can she cope onot. at the same x i dun wish to exert too much pressure on her .
it seems to me she's juz a baby onli yesterday , and in a few months time she will be goin to pri sch .im feelin a little scared , y of all a sudden wen did she grow up so suddenly..sonetimes i really wish she will always be a little gal , i hope that she wont grow up forever..is dis a selfish thought?
im nt afraid of aging but growing up seems to be a little too fast for her..

those who r my age might still be enjoying their lives right now ,getting married and having children may seem dere's still a long way to go. but for me at the age of 25 , here i am worrying mi little ger is growing a lil way too fast ..in fact scared..funny isnt it ?i suppose all i can do now is to cherish every moments i have with mi 2 rascals in case they grow up even before i realise it..

Today most students held their National Day celebrations in schools earlier. Some of em even have parties as well . Mi kids were no exception . Last night i was busy preparing ingredients and woke up pretty early dis morn to cook . Celeste and Rysher woke up pretty early dis morning as they were simply too excited bout the party , plus today students need not wear uniforms to school thus they were quite happy ..

As a mummy how can i contribute nothing??I cooked vegetarian bee hoon for the both kids" party ..(hee.. im pretty good at cookin fried bee hoon! :D) Though the preparation for the ingredients r troublesome.

Anyway dis r finally over , and im glad the 2 of em r enjoying themselves ...

I wonder y do pple who happens to notice mi belly always makes the assumption that mi child is a baby girl ???? just because mi belly isn't big and pointed enough , having morning sickness raises up the higher possibilities of having a baby girl ?
Folks out dere ! These are merely old wives' tales !! The baby within is a real genuine baby boy which has been confirmed by mi gynae . This time im gonna prove you guys out dere the accuracy of using old wives's tales to affirm the sexes of a baby has no scienific proves at all..
Many were surprised like my mother in law after i told them its a boy. She used to insist that by lookin at mi tummy , it shld be a gal n earlier on as i was doing mi usual marketing , a lady asked me am i expecting a baby gal ?Sorry folks , this time i proved u guys wrong ..

the primary one registration 2007 for phase 2c juz ended last thurs .as a first time parent there's quite a no of things dat we still nt clear.. privileges were given to those siblings who are studying in the school , parents who work as a volunteer for 48hours( so wat if parents volunteer their time and effort , some of em still cant get their kids into the schools they wanted at the end of the day.) etc .. we were the 2nd last batch to register .
ok , here comes the problem : which primary school are we going to enrol for gal gal ? most parents would be delighted if they can get their kids into the so called "popular schools". others would prefer their kids to be studyin near where they lived .
i dunno shld i say the parents did it outta love for their kids in hoping to get em into these "popular schools " or its juz part of singaporeans nature :kiasu-ism.. many parents were there taking queue nos early in the morning even before the registration hour starts which is at 8am. in my opinion , getting into "popular schools"doesnt realli gurantee the child's bright future. whether the child is willing to work hard and climb his or her way up to success is another factor.
so we went to try our luck @ woodlands ring pri school knowing that the vacancies were nt many left as we r currently looking for houses near dat area .as we reached dere the teachers helped us with e relevant documents that was needed and oso to verify our address ..after dat we realised that the distance bet our hse and the sch is more den 2km (wat the hell ! y still gotta bother whether the distance is more or less than 2km ) they explained normally the privileges were given to those who were stayin near the school distance .. wa kao !
wen asked y their sch is so popular(well , it was actually being asked by gal's classmate mummy . she oso enrol her daughter over dere) one of the teachers began to brag bout the facilities and systems are better. her attitude given was like shit! cant imagine a teacher behaving dis way( she was like trying to tell us dis is the best pri sch in whole of woodlands district and blame it on our luck we cant get in . we can try our luck at schs near here ( actually there's one more primary sch over here) but im sure u wont get a chance as the distance is more den 2km away.
eventually we went to try our luck over dere n i have a hunch gal might get in the sch as the vacancies were nt filled up.
i wonder if dis is the attitude of such teacher , i wonder how do they teach their students and it really reflects badly on the school's image.i hope that particular teacher can do some soul searching on herself ..

feelin pretty tired now .. was out almost the whole day .. later still gotta fetch e 2 kids n cook dinner 4 em . really sian ! now juz onli feel like lying down on e bed n hve a good nap .. sigh !such is e fate n life of a mummy . i suppose im the one n onli mum who will complain bout takin care of her own kids ..honesty speaking i dun c myself as a mother to the 2 of mi kids ..sometimes i'll complain to mi kids bout how tiring i am juz to take care of em, though it wasnt realli frm e bottom of mi heart.juz like friends complaining to one another.. they always say motherhood can change a woman .frankly speaking so far motherhood hasnt done any changes 2 me . or maybe it had really forgotten my existence...

It's called the Happiness Earrings.It's a terrific pair of earrings, the freshness and vibrancy of the colors really cheers me up!Ho ho ho ... finally it belongs to me !!!

Actualli dere are quite a no. of acccessories that i fancy but gotta make up mi mind to pick only one.(well.. for the time being.)

Hence i made up my mind and chose this earring.

wat a way to spend my sunday .. now really dunno wat to do ..hmm so bored .. yesterday was quite furious n mad as mi atm card was retained by the bank (actually i din use and activate the new card dat they sent to me )while i was trying to do a transfering of $ to my seller .bought a pair of earring at Purple Anemone .their stuffz were really pretty and almost every piece is unique .. how i wish mi pockets r full to get all of em ...
sigh no choice , but to wait till tomolo to do the transfer. Thks for the understanding Sheryl! Im lookin forward to receive e earrings ! !

Mi sis was telling me last 9 :"For Goodness sake pls go n update yr blog lah ! spiderwebs are sprawling around ".. Ha ha ha ... true enough its been dunno how many months or rather a year plus since i've update mi blog le ..

Aniwae here i am once again to update . Blame it on mi stupidity as i dunno how to change mi blogskin (*sigh, hao shi pai !*) but im gonna try mi best to learn as the saying goes :" its nvr too late to learn."
